Pasteurized crabmeat is essentially freshcrabmeat that has been heated to a moderate temperature to kill the bacteria that causes spoilage. Thus, the shelf life for this crabmeat when stored in the refrigerator is 1 year. By comparison, fresh crabmeat lasts 2-3 days in the refrigerator! The taste is very true to fresh and most people can't tell the difference.

The stuffed crab is a hard-shell crab cleaned (back and inners removed) and stuffed with a crab cake, then breaded & fried. Mouth watering crab cakes, made from selected fresh crabmeat. Soft shell crab is a seafood delicacy with the entire crustacean capable of being eaten, a result of catching and cooking crabs shortly after they molt their hard shell.
